The Ski Valley received 3 feet of powder over the last few days making it hard to slip pots for the salt firing. Tis the season.
I have postponed my salt firing to Tuesday March 2. It will be unloaded on the 6th. I will have a lot of mugs and cups in this firing to replenish the gallery. I am trying a few new red flashing slips and playing more with sgraffito through a silica slip on a dark clay body. The results should be fascinating. However, I will have to dig out my kiln.
